Parents Only Top 5 This Holiday

Here are the top 5 games for Holiday 2009 all these games are Rated M and not for the kids , Parents Only . This should cover most of the Rated M games coming out your kids will be asking for but this is in no way a complete list . If you as a Parent are also a gamer these games are worth you time .

Dragon Age: Origins X360 PS3

BioWare has  done  it  again  from  the  people  that  brought us  Mass Effect  and  Stars Wars Knights of the Old Republic .

This  one  is  pure  gold !   When was the last time you felt totally lost in a fantasy game world? When was the last time you played a game with such a well-crafted and enjoyable story that you knew you’d remember it for a long, long time? Dragon Age: Origins is that kind of game, so rich and involving that you are powerless to resist its wiles and whims, so touching and triumphant that your mind and heart will be moved. You won't want to stop playing be warned this game is full of sex and violence but it is not just thrown in for shock value . If you love a good story don't miss this one oh and did I mention this game has 6 different beginnings and 4 different endings .

 Assassin's Creed II X360 PS3
Assassin's Creed returns with a new adventure set in the Italian Renaissance.

Assassin's Creed 2 moves to the Italian Renaissance in 1486. It is set in Venice, Florence, and Tuscany. Again, you'll play as one of Desmond's ancestors, who is called Ezio Auditore da Firenze. Ezio is born into a noble family, but he soon becomes embroiled in a plot against his family, causing him to exact revenge on the conspirators. Ezio's quest will see him go up against the powerful Grimaldi family, a precursor to the modern-day Mafia . Unlike Altair, Ezio isn't a fully trained assassin when you first take control of him. In fact, he's not an assassin at all but simply part of a merchant family. However, throughout the course of the game, you will lead Ezio to embrace the lifestyle of an assassin. Luckily, you're aided by one of the Renaissance's most revered minds: Leonardo da Vinci . You can now buy weapons, armour, and even hire people to perform tasks or fight on your behalf. Ubisoft Montreal has taken on criticism about the repetitive missions in the first game, and consequently there will now be more than 16 mission types in total.
No sex in this one just lots of killing as in the first the end of this game is not the end of this story for that you'll be waiting  for the next game Assassin's Creed 3.

Activision is readying an all new installment in the storied first-person shooter franchise . As one of the most critically acclaimed shooters of all time, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is a prime example of a tough act to follow. Yet, amidst a raging storm of anticipation and expectation, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has done it. The new campaign is chock-full of intense action and dramatic moments, and though it is more muddled than its predecessor (in more ways than one), it's still an absolute blast. The new Special Ops mode allows you to experience some campaign-inspired thrills with a friend and it's an engaging challenge to coordinate your maneuvers and tackle the varied objectives. Last but not least, the competitive multiplayer that took the online shooter community by storm two years ago is back and better than ever. Though the addictive action remains the same at its core, there are a host of new elements that make it more accessible, more strategic, and more rewarding. This all adds up to a thoroughly excellent package that is sure to thrill shooter fans and deprive them of sleep for months to come. In one of the most disturbing moments ever to hit gaming in the single player campaign you play as a Arab Terrorist as you kill men, women, and children in a U.S. Airport .

Borderlands X360 PS3 PC

On the hostile, bandit-ridden planet of Pandora, there is one thing that draws off-world attention: The Vault. This mysterious alien structure is rumored to hold treasures of fantastic power and wealth, and so it attracts fortune-seeking corporations and individuals alike. In Borderlands, you are one such individual, but the satisfaction of unlocking the Vault's secrets pales in comparison to the rollicking good time you'll have on your way there. Borderlands is all about the journey, not the destination, and like most trips, this one is much better when you have some friends along for the ride. Solo players can still have a good time, because the bloody and entertaining combat is paired well with rewarding loot and engaging experience systems. But Pandora is a lonely place for a solitary mercenary, and lone wolves will find the pace deliberate and the friendly characters too few and far between. Those who take advantage of the four-player online cooperative mode will experience the game as it's meant to be played. The pleasing rhythm of killing enemies, gathering loot, and cashing in is punctuated by fighting bosses, completing quests, and leveling up. As a solo merc, this rhythm is slow and methodical, but as a team, the pace quickens to an invigorating clip and pretty soon you've spent hours having a riotously rewarding time.

PC Last year Left 4 Dead unleashed a harrowing and entertaining vision of what it's like to be on both sides of the zombie apocalypse. Whether you were shooting your way through hordes of infected (the preferred nomenclature) en route to possible rescue, or scheming with your fellow superpowered zombies (an acceptable colloquialism) in an effort to choke, eviscerate, and otherwise kill the intrepid survivors, Left 4 Dead was enormously fun. The only real drawback was the shortage of content. Left 4 Dead 2 does not have this problem, offering five new campaign maps that can be enjoyed across five uniquely engaging game modes. These campaigns are more diverse, more atmospheric, and more exciting, thanks largely to the stellar level design. Left 4 Dead 2 also improves on the original in almost every other way, featuring new weapons, new items, new enemies, and new survivors that make the game richer across the board. Though the core action remains largely unchanged, the widespread enhancements make Left 4 Dead 2 even better than its impressive predecessor. This is one zombie apocalypse you do not want to miss. Truth be told Left 4 Dead 2 feels more like a game add on than a full game.

Parents Only

Parents Only is a new feature on Games for adults ( Games Kids should not be playing ) .
This will not be adult games I will not cover that type of game most of them will be main stream games stuff you will see on T.V. . Look I am not going to tell you a game is bad just because it's Rated M lying to you won't make your kids want that game any less what I do is tell you whats in a game if it is good or bad and let you decide whats best for your kids . I am here to help.

On the list today Wet , Grand Theft Auto (series) , and Wolfenstein .

First up
WET - Bethesda Softworks WET is an action game that combines shooting and swordplay with stylish acrobatics. The main character, Rubi, carries twin pistols and a sword, and can fire whilst jumping, sliding on her knees and running on walls. The game's presentation is a hoot; a winking nod to 1970s B-movie action flicks, with bad film effects, cheesy dialogue, and even theme songs for some of the more hysterical battle sequences. Couple that with sophisticated camera work during the scripted sequences and you've got a compelling mix of pulp fiction plot and modern-day sensibilities. This game is Violent and does contain Sexual Content , Strong Language ,and Drug References . This game gets the 5 stars for style the bad film effects are very cool if you like 1970s B-movie action flicks check it out just put it up when the sun comes up not a bad game but absolutely Parents Only !

Next up
Grand Theft Auto (GTA) If Grand Theft Auto is in the name if the game it's always Parents Only ! The games allow people to take on the role of a criminall in a big city, typically an individual who rises through the ranks of organized crime through the course of the game. Various missions are set for completion by the figureheads of the city underworld, generally criminal, which must be completed to progress through the storyline. Assassinations, and other crimes feature regularly, but occasionally taxi driving, firefighting, pimping, prostitution, street racing, bus driving or learning to fly fixed-wing aircraft are also involved as alternate adventures, which can be done at any time during the game, with the exception of the periods performing main missions. Parents Only !

Last up
Wolfenstein | Home Wolfenstein brings the Nazis dark obsession with the occult to life with epic action and harrowing shooter combat. Use a powerful arsenal of both definitive and occult-enhanced Axis and Allied weapons to beat back a supernatural Nazi force . I won't lie the game play is good & so is the A.I. but it's short and filled with Blood and Gore Intense Violence & Language . So the next time your home sick from work play this to keep your blood pumping , till the school bus shows up that is . Parents Only !

Online Gaming

Online Rating Notice

Online-enabled games carry the notice "Online Interactions Not Rated by the ESRB.

" This notice warns those who intend to play the game online about possible exposure to

chat (text, audio, video) or other types of user-generated content (e.g., maps, skins)

that have not been considered in the ESRB rating assignment.

Most gamers have seen this over and over after some time you start to forget it's even their .

Well what you need to know is that your kids may have contact with a person you may not even

know about and thats not good.

All the major consoles , The Wii , the Xbox 360, and the PS3 all have bilt in parent controls

if you have one step 1 is using them.

Xbox Live Gold

Giving a kid a xbox 360 with a gold account ( so that he or she can play online ) is the worst thing you can do for your child . Yet 90% of parents just buy the 1 year xbox live card and give it to the child in part because that don't understand what that are doing !

If you do this you give your child a all access pass to things like chat , web cams ,and voice chat .

Yes you do need a gold account to play online but a silver account will still let your child use most of the cool stuff on xbox plus it's free.
