Father's Choice : Dungeons & Dragons Online

So your teen or preteen wants to play a online game but you don't know whats safe or even has content ok for kids and most teens who have tried Free Realms  do think it's lame. Well do I have the game for you and it's free too.
Dungeons and Dragons Online (commonly abbreviated DDO  ) is an MMORPG , that is now free to play , based on the Dungeons and Dragons 3.5 Edition roleplaying game. Developed by Turbine, DDO allows players to adventure in the Eberron Campaign Setting, a supplemental rulebook to the standard Dungeons and Dragons game. Players choose from a variety of races and classes, eventually determining a selection that seems most appropriate for their play styles.

As an MMOG, Dungeons and Dragons Online actually steps outside of the box in many ways, taking some of the common mechanics of MMOGs and supplementing them with rules taken from the D&D roleplaying game. Instead of turn-based action, DDO features real-time combat . Instead of being a "sit behind your computer and hit a button every now and then", Turbine wanted DDO to really stand out as a game that brings players together and emulates the true nature of D&D.

DDO has a ESRB of T for Blood , Violence , and Alcohol Reference

Halo 3 : ODST

This is the new game all the kids want but is't ESRB is M for Blood , Language , and Violence.
ODST takes place before Halo 3, but you do not get to play as Master Chief this time. Rather, you take on the role of an orbital drop shock trooper dubbed "The Rookie," and your job is to extract important data located far below the ruined city of New Mombasa before the Covenant gets its hands on the prize. As you can imagine, things do not go as planned, and you wake up from a horrible crash landing six hours after your allies hit ground. The city is bathed in darkness, with burned-out cars littering the streets and sharpshooting enemies hiding in deadly gangs waiting to ambush anyone who wanders near them. The story itself is nothing special, but the manner in which it is told is quite engaging. As you wander around this hostile environment, you will find pieces of equipment that your fellow soldiers left behind. When you pick up these items, you are transported to the past and get to play through the events that took place while you were knocked out.
Bottom Line : If your 13 year old can handle Terminator 3 and you are ok with the violence then thy can handle this game. But no kid under 12 should be playing games like this.
